Membership of the Central Library is open to all bonafide students, faculty, and staff of the institution.
Library working hours shall be as notified by the institution from time to time. Timings may be extended during examination periods with prior approval.
A valid College ID card is mandatory for entering the library and for availing borrowing facilities.
All users shall sign the Gate Register at the time of entry and comply with institutional security procedures.
All the students should come to the Library in proper dress code without fail.
Personal belongings such as bags, files, and personal books shall be kept in the designated area. The library shall not be responsible for loss of personal items.
Strict silence shall be maintained inside the library premises to preserve an academic environment.
Mobile phones must be kept in silent mode. Making or receiving voice calls inside the library is not permitted.
Eating, drinking, and group discussions are strictly prohibited in reading and stack areas.
Users shall maintain proper discipline and follow the instructions of the library staff at all times.
Library materials shall be handled with care. Writing, marking, underlining, folding pages, or damaging books and journals is strictly prohibited.
Reference books, newspapers, back volumes, project reports, and other non-book materials are for in-library use only and shall not be issued for home reading.
After use, books and periodicals shall be kept on the reading tables for proper re-shelving by the library staff.
All books shall be issued and returned only through the automated barcoding system upon production of a valid ID card.
No book or material shall be taken out of the library without proper system entry.
Faculty members may borrow a maximum of 10 books at a time, and the period of the loan will be 150 days (1 semester).
The maximum number of books that can be taken by each UG student is 4, and the period of loan will be 20 days.
The maximum number of books that can be taken by each PG student is 8, and the period of loan will be 25 days.
Research scholars can avail 8 books for a period of loan of 6 months only.
Renewal of books is permitted, provided there is no reservation by another user.
Borrowed books shall not be transferred or lent to other individuals.
Borrowing and returning of books shall be carried out only during the hours of 9.00 AM to 3.30 PM.
Books must be returned on or before the due date, failing which, a fine of Rs. 1/- per book per day will be levied.
In case of loss or damage, the concerned user shall pay double the cost as prescribed by the institution.
All borrowed books, periodicals, and CDs shall be returned at the end of each semester. Issue of books for the subsequent semester will be permitted only after clearance of previous dues.
No-Dues clearance will be issued only after return of all library materials and settlement of any outstanding dues.
The Online Public Access Catalogue (OPAC) facility is available for searching library resources. Users are encouraged to utilize this system for efficient access.
Access to digital resources and subscribed databases is provided strictly for academic and research purposes. Unauthorized downloading, excessive usage, or sharing of access credentials is prohibited.
Violation of library rules, misuse of resources, or indiscipline may result in suspension of borrowing privileges or other disciplinary action as decided by the competent authority.
All users are expected to treat the Central Library as a shared academic resource centre and use its facilities responsibly for the benefit of the institution.
